More than 2,000 runners, adults and kids, joined the Titans Run 2023: Glow in the Dark held at Mandani Bay last Sunday, March 12, 2023. Organized by the PAREF Springdale School Inc. in cooperation with the Student Body Organization and the 3rd Grade Parents, the fun run gave the opportunity for bonding to the families who came as early as 4 p.m. although the start of the first race, the 10K, was scheduled the start at 6:30 p.m. The parents and grandparents were mostly seated in front of the stage prepared by International Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (IPI) while the children were having fun running around the open area. Various booths of sponsors were selling snacks items, rice meals and drinks while another sponsor gave out free doughnuts. After a few entertainment numbers such as songs by bands and dance numbers of students, Zumba instructors led the warm-up exercises for the runners, preparing them for the fun run. The Cebu Lady Lawyers Association (CELLA) makes history as it elects the first transgender woman to be President in a lawyers organization for women in the country. Lawyer Regal Oliva is their new President after an election held today with almost two months of hold over from previous officers. Elected with Oliva is Lawyers Georgia Herrera-Klepp as External Vice President, Mary Grace Casano as Internal Vice President, Jizza Raagas as Secretary, Elizabeth Reyes as Treasurer, Angel Fernandez-Dumon as Auditor, and Lalaine Salve-Esmeralda as PRO. Also elected among the Directors are Lawyers Hazel Espina, Tercel Mercado-Gephart,Rhea Senining-Judilla, Mary Rose Salvatiera-Lubino, Niva Costanilla-Vilamor. The Cebu City Chapter of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) elects the new set of officers during the election held today. Atty. Rosendo Hernaez III is elected President succeeding Atty. Michelle Mendez-Palmares who will end her term on March 31, 2023. The other officers elected into office are Lawyers Bernardino Amago IV as Vice President, Lalaine Salve-Esmeralda as Secretary, Mark Anthony Gaviola as Treasurer, Darling Chyrmyth Wagas-Estorgo, Julius Oliver Moeller. The elected Directors are Lawyers Mark Gregory Avila, Mary Grace Casano, Georgia Herrera-Klepp, Rhea Mae Senining-Judilla, and Nestor Crispin Miguel Lumapas. The elections were held simultaneously among all Chapters of the IBP in the country. Run and glow with your family and friends at PAREF Springdale's TITANS RUN 2023: Glow in the Dark set on the evening of March 12, 2023 at the Mandani Bay, Mandaue City. The fun run, which is organized by the PAREF Springdale School, Inc. in partnership with the Student Body Organization (SBO) and the parents of Grade 3 pupils, is open to the public. The run is a fundraising project for the school's most awaited annual event, Father's Day. Here are the registration fees with the corresponding run distances: 1K - PHP 600  3K - PHP 600  3K - Dad & Son (12 y.o. & below) PHP 1,100 (for both runners) 5K - PHP 650  10K - PHP 700  Registration fee is inclusive of the official race shirt, race bib, one glow accessory, and a finisher’s medal.
