WORLD-CLASS FESTIVAL WELCOME AT MANDANI BAY’S BALIKBAYAN NIGHT

A world-class festival welcome was rolled out for overseas Filipinos, resident Cebuanos and domestic and foreign tourists at Mandani Bay’s Balikbayan Night 2026.

Now a cherished tradition excitedly anticipated during the Fiesta Señor/Sinulog season, the event is a meaningful homecoming that honors the enduring bond between Cebu and the global community of balikbayans.

This year’s Balikbayan Night is made special by its debut at The Boardwalk at Mandani Bay, the community’s expansive 500-meter waterfront boulevard that now hosts crowd-puller restaurant and food brands. The Boardwalk made the ideal venue for Balikbayan Night, offering the cool breeze blowing in from the Mactan Channel and a sense of ample space in its architectural design.

Balikbayan Night anchors Sinulog By the Bay, which includes the popular Fluvial Parade Viewing at The Boardwalk which, this year, will be on Saturday, January 17. The fluvial parade event also features a cultural show and community interaction at The Boardwalk, peaking with the passing of the galleon bearing the image of the Sto. Niño de Cebu.

Balikbayan Night 2026 showcased the powerful rhythm of Regla Percussionista, the crowd-rousing appearance of the Sinulog Idols and the expressive moves of the Mandaue City School for the Arts Dance Troupe, KanSugbo Dance Fusion and the high-energy Knapsack Dancers. The fireworks display, a distinct Mandani Bay signature, ignited the party spirit.

Taking their cue from Audi Villa, HTLand Sales Head, who welcomed them to the event, guests greeted each other, “Pit Senyor!” while enjoying the excellent blend of culture, music and community.

Villa noted that The Boardwalk at Mandani Bay has allowed a unique celebration of Sinulog – festive and relaxed. Balikbayan Night, he said is Mandani Bay’s way of saying, “You belong here.”

Through events such as Balikbayan Night, Mandani Bay continues to fulfill its vision of transforming Cebu into a destination where culture thrives, the community unites, and everyday life is celebrated.
